WASHINGTON — May 25, 2026 — Joel Riddle, CEO of Polar LNG, discussed the economic impact of the company's LNG projects in the Arctic during a recent episode of the Powering America Podcast. Riddle explained that monetizing gas from the Proto Bay area will generate immediate tax revenues and royalties for the state and First Nations people. He noted, "When you monetize the gas coming out of the Proto Bay region, that's gonna immediately generate tax revenues and royalties for the state and for the First Nations people." This financial influx is expected to bolster local communities and create both direct and indirect jobs.
The discussion also touched on the broader implications for U.S. energy dominance. Riddle stated, "This project will also uplift other projects that are looking to be developed in that North Slope region." He emphasized the importance of collaboration among various energy initiatives, asserting that the success of Polar LNG could pave the way for additional projects in the area.
